Nice and complex geometry

English pattern at Pegsdon

Found on the 3rd of May .......

by Margherita Campaniolo

Translation in English of Dr. Giuseppina Cusenza

08/05/2004 Just three days ago we started , with the crop circles of  Bishop Cannings Down, in the Wiltshire, the spring season of the crop circles. However, it was not a so remarkable beginning because, that simple circle was not surely as we would have expected and it was not as the first English crop in 2003 but, clearly, it was a matter of time or may be I should say of times?

I will explain why: on the 3rd of May, at Nr Pegsdon, near Deacon Hill, a nice crop circle on rapeseed oil plants was found. It was described as dimensions of 300 - 400 feet and, some days later pictures of it were taken from the top of a near hill because, up to now, due to the bad weather, it was not allowed to  make aircraft  explorations and to have, therefore, more satisfactory pictures. Although not able to see the crop at full size,  we can note, as per these pictures, that it is composed by several concentric rings and, in the peripheral side, by semicircles crossing as to form a big eight.

In the meanwhile, some researchers are going inside the crop, taking photos in a closer way and these photos allow us some detailed evaluations  http://www.culture-crop.com/2004deaconhill.htm .

The flattened plants have grown vertically at the stalk ends so re-establishing a regular needs of light radiation and the stalk side nearest to the soil, has perfectly "complied with" the flattening curve (getting stronger in that point) both to avoid a possible break in the transit of the nourishing substances from the roots to the periphery and changing the base knot into a strong lever as support of the plant; these processes do not happen in one or two days, it needs some more time and I could say, approximately, that the crop of Pegsdon is absolutely before the 3rd of May and it could be quite the first English crop circle of 2004.

It is important to remind that the crop is rather in a hidden place, in an aerea that is defined, by those who made the surveys, difficult to find, it cannot be seen from the road. This may have helped in the late discovery of the circle. Nearby there are only fields and one house  (not very close to the pattern), the one of the owner’s field. Moreover, in the nights between the end of April and the beginning of May the Moon was crescent (full-moon on the 4th of May), favourable both as night image and for the vegetative reaction of the plant.

This crop of  Pegsdon is very nice and, instinctively, for these intersecting circles and for having one side hidden by the other, it reminds me of the eclipse of the 4th of May.... I wonder if the “authors” ‘ thoughts  (whatever may be our opinion of this) were addressed to this astronomic event!?

But not, certainly not; the crops have the power to mean what we like more!

From the point of view of the classic symbology it represents  " The great Symbol ", the eye of  Horus of  the Celts, the Vesica Piscis", image of the rising Christianity, a middle age architectonic shape, a Mason sign, the stylization of the female sexual organ used by the feminists in the 70’s etc... It’s interesting to note as a cross of two circumferences may have so different meanings. Yet, in all this, there is an image of the nature, that has nothing to do with an human or alien invention, an ancient image more than human race, more than any other planetary system and that, looking at the Pegsdon crop, reminds me the Planetary Nebula MyCn18..... The nature only can be extraordinary and original, all the others are “copies”.
